Group Folders The consolidated location for group and project data is \\d.ethz.ch\groups\itet\group name. You can find the name list of the group folders at https://blog.s4d.ethz.ch/nas-nomenclature/ The group folder is connected automatically when you work with a managed device.

Windows: Recover deleted files

Backup A backup of the home directory is made daily by TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) with a 3 month retention time. There is no backup for data stored on local disks. Previous Versions Additionally, 4 snapshots (checkpoints, aka previous versions) are taken on the home folders during 16 working days. Connect to a remote folder (macOS)

In the Finder, choose Go > “Connect to Server.” Type the network address for the folder in the Server Address field: NOTE: For Mac-Os Version prior to 10.6 you need the UNC path (according NAS nomenclature)   Enter your user account in the authentication window. Be sure to match the form d\nethz username (can be entered by pressing shift-alt-7).
